When not doing math, I'm usually outside.
The Pacific Northwest is home to some of the most rugged landscape in the country and I spend as much time in the alpine as I can. These are a few of dramatic scenes the Cascades have to offer. For the few that might care, I track trip reports on Peakbagger.
Pea Soup Lake and Mt. Daniel from Dip Top Gap.
Snowshoeing in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness on a clear, January day.
Red Mountain from Guye Peak. Mt. Thomson is peaking out to the right.
Looking east from the summit of Lennox Mountain. Some lesser known mountains of the Alpine Lakes Wilderness are out.
A hazy Three Queens from an unnamed pond near Chikamin Peak.
Making friends along the trail.
